Hawthorns Fishing Pool

With its 15 pegs and small island feature, The Hawthorns is a popular pool for a days pleasure fishing or smaller clubs and open matches. Similarly stocked to the other waters with a mixture of species around predominently carp, (up to around 20lb) this is a very consistent pool that has been notable for its large winter catches. Reliable methods include pellet and sweetcorn in the margins, or maggot and caster up in the water at 8-10m in open water. The island pegs are also popular to give an extra option.
