Middle Fishing Pool

The Middle, at 11pegs, is one of the smaller pools at Boldings, but this certainly does not detract from its popularity. The tranquil position of this pool is part of its attraction – tucked in down below the Stock pool and partially surrounded by embankments of trees, the Middle pool is well-protected from most wind directions and yet is still open enough to bask in any available sunshine!

The other attraction of the Middle pool is, of course, the fishing – consistent catches of carp (up to around 14lb) and plenty of other species have produced match weights up to an impressive (but frustrating!!) 199lb 15oz.
